A team of 4 from North Hertfordshire took on the challenge in June to run 200km’s and raise money for Hertfordshire Mind Network.

Stevie, Jo, Rhiannon and Hannah wanted to support a local charity which focused on mental health. “As a group of individuals who are from or live in Lilley, Hertfordshire we wanted to choose a local cause to support. Mind has an impressive reputation as a charity that provides valuable support to individuals in need and so we felt the Hertfordshire Mind Network was a good choice.  Additionally, with the impact of COVID-19 leading to an increased need for mental health support during a period where funding may be difficult, we hoped that we could support Hertfordshire Mind Network to continue to provide vital mental health support to our community"

The team ran a total of 256.46 kilometres and raised over £1,200 for us.

Caroline McGoohan, Community Fundraising Manager at Hertfordshire Mind Network said “The amount that has been raised through this challenge is amazing – thank you so much to Stevie, Jo, Rhiannon and Hannah.  With COVID-19 impacting the way we live, work and socialise this money will help us find new, innovative ways to support Hertfordshire residents with their mental health and ensure everyone receives support during these challenging times and beyond.”
