About this course

Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, hardships or sources of stress – for example family and relationship problems, health problems or work and financial stresses. This practical course will provide individuals the space to assess their own levels of resilience, consider areas where they can build resilience and come up with practical ways in which they can work towards coping better when dealing with stress or adversity whilst generally maintaining stable wellbeing.

Course Overview

  • To explore the relationship between emotional wellbeing and resilience and understand what resilience is and why we need it
  • Assess your own resilience and personal strengths
  • Identify practical ways to build resilience and develop a resilience action plan

Course format

This course consists of six 2.5 hour sessions over six weeks in a group setting.  A experienced tutor will teach practical techniques and lead discussions in an informal, safe and supportive environment where you can explore and understand ways to build resilience and develop an action plan to support you in moving forward.
