Is your company looking to support a charity that improves the lives of local people? Hertfordshire Mind Network provides vital mental health services to people across the county.  We work with companies across Hertfordshire in many different ways including providing lunch and learn sessions, mental health workshops and offering fundraising opportunities.

By choosing to fundraise for us, we can help you to fulfil your Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, engage your employees and raise awareness of mental health.

Fundraising Activities and Events

From cake sales to dress down days at the office, taking a sporting challenge or organizing a golf day for employees and clients – could your company host a fundraising activity or event for Hertfordshire Mind Network?

Recent fundraising activities have included a sponsored sky dive, kayaking down the River Thames and a Pub Quiz! We encourage you to think creatively about fundraising opportunities – the sky’s the limit!

You will be supported throughout your fundraising efforts by our Community Fundraising Manager and we can provide you with material to promote our vital services for local people experiencing mental ill health.

Corporate Partnerships: Charity of the Year and Commercial Partnerships

We work in partnership with both small and large companies to raise vital funds for people with mental ill health across Hertfordshire.  Whether that is staff taking part in fundraising activities from climbing Snowdon to bake sales as a companies Charity of the Year, or embarking in commercial partnerships to receive donations from the sale of products – each corporate partnership is bespoke, and we welcome you to get in touch so that we can build a mutually beneficial relationship.

Company Giving & Gift in Kind

As much as we need your time to fundraise, we need money too. Does your company have a foundation we could apply to? Or maybe there is a company budget for charitable giving?

Financial donations are an efficient way to make an immediate contribution to our work. Companies can also get tax relief on gifts of money to charities.  **Gifts of money made to a charity by your company should be paid gross – before tax is deducted. These donations are deductible from the total profits of your business when calculating Corporation Tax. The charity doesn’t need to make a Gift Aid tax repayment claim because no tax has been paid. The charity can claim exemption from tax on company donations.

Gifts in kind can include second-hand items e.g office furniture, products e.g. IT equipment and discounted services.

Payroll Giving

A really easy way to raise funds to help us support more people is by encouraging your employees to donate just one hour’s salary to Hertfordshire Mind Network every month. A small, regular donation will go a long way! Payroll Giving is a way for your employees to make regular payments to our charity directly from their salary. People who receive their company/personal pension through PAYE (Pay As You Earn) can participate too.

Payments that your employees make through a Payroll Giving Scheme are deducted from their pay before tax is deducted. This means that employees are given tax relief on their donation immediately – and at their highest rate of tax. It’s easy to set up a Payroll Giving Scheme for your business. There’s little in the way of cost and administration, and you’ll probably be able to adapt your existing payroll system to operate the scheme.
