Your will is a valuable way to plan for the future needs of your family and loved ones. It enables you to take care of the people closest to you and - should you so wish - to leave a gift to the causes that are important to you.

By leaving a gift to us, you can help to make sure that no one in Hertfordshire has to face mental ill health alone. It is one of the most important contributions you can make to ensure we’ll still be here for everyone who needs us in the future, providing opportunities for anyone to access support that will enable them to recover from or to live well with mental ill health.

Not everyone thinks about leaving a legacy to a charity, but legacy gifts can make a huge difference to us, enabling us to support more people in our local communities.

A bequest of any size to Hertfordshire Mind Network will make a real difference to the people we support.

We hope you will consider supporting us in this way and we promise to use your gift with great care.

How your gift can help

Your gift to Hertfordshire Mind Network will be used to support people in the county who are experiencing mental ill health.

For example:

£200 Could pay for an assessment and 10 counselling sessions for someone experiencing financial hardship
£500 5 targeted workshops for young people in secondary schools. These would reach up to 75 young people.
£600 Could pay for 10 mental health awareness assemblies in local schools. These would reach up to 1,000 students
£1,000 Could help pay for new furniture in our Wellbeing Centres around the county. This ensures that we create a safe and welcoming environment in all of our centres.
£3,500 Could pay for a worker for one year, to run twice weekly drop-in sessions at a GP Practice, providing information, advice and guidance.
£5,000 Could pay for 300 counselling sessions for young adults accessing our counselling service
£15,000 Could pay for a part time Community Support worker for one year, to provide 1:1 advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to people who are experiencing mental ill-health.
£30,000 Could pay for a Peer Support worker for one year, to provide 1:1 and group support to over 100 clients in Hertfordshire

These are not the only causes or amounts that you can donate, for other ideas, please see our Appeals page or call us if you have a specific interest. You are also very welcome to make a gift to the whole organisation rather than a specific project.

Your gift could make a real difference to people’s lives. To find out how Hertfordshire Mind Network has supported local people, please follow the link to our Annual Reports.
