Purpose of role
We are seeking Peer Mentor Volunteers for Nightlight to work a minimum of four hours an evening/night once a week to support people in the community who are feeling distressed and experiencing a crisis. Volunteers will work alongside staff to provide support either by telephone or in person at one of our centres. The Nightlight service has recently been expanded so the role is extremely flexible and diverse and is expected to develop as the service does.
Full training will be provided along with access to listings of paid-work opportunities with Hertfordshire Mind Network when they arise.

A minimum of one shift per month. Shifts are 7pm – 1am each day of the week.

Hemel Hempstead (Crisis House/helpline), Watford (Crisis Café), Stevenage (Crisis Café), Ware (helpline/safe space)
