About this course

Our Managing Depression course can help you understand triggers and start to create an action plan taking small steps to personal goals, challenge negative thinking and break the cycle of depression.

Course aims and objectives

  • Begin to recognise what thoughts, moods and actions contribute to depression
  • Begin to take steps to counteract the cycle of negative thinking and challenge negative thoughts
  • Create an action plan to incorporate more physical activity into your routine
  • Practice Mindful exercises to reduce rumination which contribute to low mood

Course format

This course is six 2 hour sessions over six weeks in a small group.  A qualified tutor will teach techniques and lead discussions in an informal, safe and supportive environment where you can explore current and new skills to incorporate into your daily life to help break the cycle of negative thinking, low mood, anxiety and stress.
