Our Peer Support Academy training focuses on using your lived experience of mental ill health to improve your wellbeing and live a fulfilling life.
This involves using the 10 values and principles of the Herts Mind Network Peer Support Charter to continue to develop your mental wellbeing.
You will learn how to use your lived experience to support yourself and others. You will also get to reflect on whether you want to embark on using your lived experience to help support others, or to create change in mental health services.
This course is ideal if you have already made some progress towards better mental health & wellbeing, or you would like to continue your progress. Please note that there is no cost to attend this course.
We currently provide three courses that work together.
- Foundations of Peer Support
- Supporting Others in a Peer Way: Attendees will need to complete ‘The Foundations of Peer Support’ first, before attending this course.
- Leadership in a Peer Way: Attendees will need to complete ‘The Foundations of Peer Support’ first, before attending this course.
