About our service
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and would like someone to talk to, you can call our Nightlight Crisis Helpline.
Our helpline will provide a listening ear, emotional support, advice and information if you are feeling distressed and are in crisis.
We will offer you sensitive and non-judgmental support from our team of dedicated Crisis Support Workers and Peer Mentors who will provide you with:
- Time and a safe space to talk
- Support with crisis resolution and building coping strategies
- Advice and information
- Signposting
- Onward referral when required
Anyone experiencing mental health distress can call the Helpline for emotional support and signposting.
Professionals, family or friends can call on someone’s behalf with the individual’s consent.

We are open every day from 7pm – 1am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Calls will be charged at your standard local rate.
Occasionally there are times when we get a lot of calls to the helpline. If your call is not answered, please leave a voice mail message and we will call you back. Voicemails left outside of our helpline opening times are listened to and responded to every single day of the year at the beginning of each shift.
