We’re Hertfordshire Mind Network

We deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our eight Wellbeing Centres and other venues across the county.

Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5-18 year olds.

We create opportunities for individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. We provide opportunities for individuals to access support to enable them to recover from or live with mental ill health.

We help approximately 15,000 people experiencing mental ill health each year.

We are a local Mind, affiliated to national Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. This means that we are an independent charity responsible for raising our own funds through contracts, grants and fundraising.

Equality and diversity

At Hertfordshire Mind Network, diversity, equality and inclusion are at the heart of who we are.

Our commitment to these values is integral to our vision of ensuring everyone in Hertfordshire who is experiencing mental ill health gets support and respect.

We pledge to listen and engage with our communities and understand how we can make our services more relevant and accessible to the individuals and communities who may need them.

Mind Quality Mark

We have been awarded the Mind Quality Mark 2021- 2014

This is a rigorous quality assurance standard. It sets the bar of good practice and legal compliance for all organisations in the Mind Federation.

Once every three years, local Minds are reviewed against the Mind Quality Mark standards. The reviews are led by people with lived experience of mental health problems and senior leaders from other local Minds. They are based on a robust assessment of documentary evidence as well as interviews with and survey responses from trustees, staff, volunteers, and people who use services.

To achieve the Mind Quality Mark, local Minds must be well-run organisations delivering safe, life-changing support for people with mental health problems.
