Joanna Marovitch

Jo originally trained as a BACP Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist before moving into the voluntary sector in the arena of Palliative and End of Life Care, as a Health and Social Care Director. 

She graduated in Applied Community Studies, and retains an avid interest in the wider determinants of health and the psychology of groups and systems.  Jo is also a a Chartered Management Institute Registered Fellow, trained Executive Coach, Mediator, Supervisor and certified to work with trauma.

Having Chaired the VCFSE Alliance for the ICB for 2 years, with Trustee experience and as the Honorary CEO of Home-Start Hertfordshire, Jo is experienced in leading mergers and transforming charities – ensuring high quality and innovative growth and sustainability, through building and maintaining successful relationships with commissioners and partner organisations. 

Adept at identifying and creating service delivery solutions that work for and are based on the needs of individuals and local communities, Jo champions cross-sector collaboration to overcome organisational boundaries and deliver meaningful outcomes for Hertfordshire residents.

The wellbeing of staff, volunteers and clients is at the heart of Jo’s leadership.

In her spare time she enjoys Krav Maga, walking her two dogs and being with family and friends. 

Hilary Lythgoe

With thirty years of management experience, Hilary is an accomplished leader specialising in Finance, Budgeting, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety. She has a strong track record of driving organisational performance through robust financial stewardship, strategic resource planning, and operational excellence.

Hilary leads the Finance & Resources function for our charity, operating across ten sites, overseeing complex budgets, strengthening governance frameworks, and delivering high-value procurement and negotiation outcomes.

Her professional interests include financial strategy, quality governance, risk management, and developing solution‑focused approaches that enable the organisation to operate efficiently, effectively, and safely.

A committed advocate for mental health, Hilary is passionate about ensuring Hertfordshire Mind Network has the financial resilience, operational capability, and strategic clarity needed to deliver outstanding services for clients.

Outside of work, Hilary enjoys visiting friends in Ireland and is a dedicated Watford FC supporter, rarely missing a match!

Danielle Levy

Danielle joined Hertfordshire Mind Network in 2017. Originally joining as part of the Community Support Service she has a passion for ensuring the needs of harder-to-reach communities are met.

With a B.Sc. in Psychology, Childhood and Society, she has spent most of her career in the third sector, volunteering with North London Samaritans for 10 years, being a Co-Director for 3 years, as well as spending time working for Rethink Mental Illness. 

Danielle’s experience lies in partnership working, creating holistic person led services that take into consideration the barriers faced by people facing multiple disadvantages and complex needs. Danielle’s professional interests are adverse childhood experiences, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol misuse and complex housing needs.

Danielle is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and has completed the Safeguarding Adults & Children Level 4 training for a Named Professional for Safeguarding.

In her spare time Danielle is a keen Spurs fan and enjoys spending time with her three children, often at the side of a football pitch or tennis court. 

Carys Norman

Carys joined Hertfordshire Mind Network in 2014 from the National Health Service (NHS) after gaining a B.Sc. (Hons)/DPS in Psychology from Loughborough University. Here, she spent a year in a Clinical Psychology team supporting with delivery of clinical interventions.

Carys brings knowledge and understanding of front line service delivery, where she started with us as a support worker and went on to design and deliver our Peer Support programme for young care leavers and young carers.

Carys is passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing provision, providing choice and quality assured services in the charity sector, with a keen interest in children and young people’s mental health, suicide prevention, widening access of mental health provision for all, and staff development.

As our Suicide Prevention Lead, Carys ensures that our organisation keeps listening and learning so that we are responsive to our local communities and their needs. 

In her spare time she is a proud Welsh rugby supporter and enjoys spending time with friends and family travelling, usually to watch sport! 

Clare Rennett

Clare joined Hertfordshire Mind Network in 2016 and brings over 30 years’ experience in health and social care, across both service delivery and service development roles. She holds a BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Administration.

She leads the organisation’s marketing, communications and fundraising activities, with a strong focus on improving awareness of local mental health services and ensuring they are accessible to the communities we serve.

Clare is committed to helping individuals, organisations and businesses understand who we are, what we do and how to access our services when support is needed.

Outside of work, Clare enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking her greyhound, and volunteering with a local greyhound rescue charity.

Fran Swallow

Fran is a generalist HR professional, who started her working career in retail management and worked in a number of different jobs before taking her first HR role in 2000.  

Her HR background is varied from supporting the training department in a Watford based print company, to leading the HR support team in a UK based parent, baby and child retailer,  before moving to join a well known UK pub chain, progressing to UK HR Business Partner for a Relocations and Global Mobility company and latterly at a Hertfordshire based Pharmaceutical company before joining Herts Mind Network on 1^st August 2022. 

In her spare time, she volunteers regularly for a local Arts centre working front of house, and helping build and paint sets for the children’s productions as well as being the safeguarding lead the group based in the centre.  She is an active Governor at a Watford based secondary school and also a member of the Girl Guide association as a district volunteer, having previously ran a Brownie unit for 20 years.

Jenny Flynn

Jenny joined Hertfordshire Mind Network in 2025 following its merger with The Sadie Centre; where she worked alongside its Founder to review and secure its holistic health and wellbeing vision and services into the future.

She holds a PGCE in English and Theatre Studies from Cambridge University, and a qualification in Operational Management.  Prior to joining The Sadie Centre in 2022, Jenny led services across three Local Authorities and held senior roles with the Prince’s Trust, Action for Children, Barnardo’s, and Watford & District YMCA.  Jenny’s dedication to community service has earned national recognition, including awards from HRH The Prince of Wales and the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, and an invitation to the Queen’s Garden Party for her “great and valuable services to the community.”

Driven by a passion for personal development, Jenny has also invested time in volunteering as a Duke of Edinburgh leader and annually on a youth camp, of which she was part of the leadership team for 16 years. As a former fitness instructor, Jenny enjoys an active lifestyle – having climbed Mount Snowdon over 30 times.  Outside of work, Jenny enjoys theatre, cinema, and spending time with her two sons, family, and friends.
