Corporate Volunteering
As a local charity, Hertfordshire Mind Network are proud of the network and relationships we have established within our community.
It’s crucial to our work that our 8 centres are well kept and maintained so we can focus our resources on supporting those who need us and ensure a relaxing and welcoming environment at all of our premises.Â
How you can help
We often need support with the following kind of tasks:
- maintaining our gardens (weeding, painting fences, laying bark etc)
- painting and decorating inside our buildings
- painting and maintaining the decking areas at The Sadie Centre
These hands-on activities not only enhance our spaces but also offer teams a rewarding, purpose-driven experience and time away from their screens!
No previous experience is required. The groups are supervised, and full health and safety briefings are given. We make sure there are tasks for everyone.
Why volunteer?
This is a unique opportunity for companies looking to meet their social responsibility or team-building goals in a way that is both meaningful and memorable. By volunteering with Herts Mind Network, your organisation can make a great difference to the lives of those we support – while also stepping away from the usual routine to reconnect with each other and the local community.
Your team will enjoy a refreshing change of pace, strengthen collaboration, and contribute to a valuable cause in a natural, welcoming environment.
Our centres
We have eight centres located across the county in the following locations:
- Borehamwood
- Hemel Hempstead
- Nightlight Crisis House (Hemel Hempstead)
- Letchworth
- Waltham Cross
- Ware
- WatfordÂ
- The Sadie Centre (Letchworth)
There are opportunities to support us at any of these locations.

We welcome a contribution
We are a local Mind, proudly affiliated with national Mind – the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. While we share the same mission, we are independently funded, meaning we raise every penny ourselves to keep our vital services running. Most importantly, all funds raised stay right here in Hertfordshire, directly supporting local people.
We’re pleased to offer corporate volunteer days, but we truly value the support of our local business community. As a self-funded charity, we warmly welcome donations. Contributions help us cover the costs of planning and safely supervising these days, ensuring your team has a meaningful, enjoyable, and well-supported experience.
We understand that releasing staff for a volunteer day is a commitment from your business – and we deeply appreciate it. Your involvement makes a real difference in the lives of those we support.
