Responsible to: Peer Support Coordinator

Responsible for: To work with the peer support team to offer one-to-one peer support, facilitate peer support groups and peer learning sets for anyone accessing HMN services, embedding a personalised and client focused approach to all aspects of the role and responsibilities.

Based: We have two roles:

1. At our Watford, Dacorum and Borehamwood Wellbeing Centres.

2. At our Bishop’s Stortford, Ware, Waltham Cross and on occasion Letchworth Wellbeing Centres.

There may be some travel outside of these areas.

Working hours: Both vacancies are 24 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £18,600 – £19,500 per annum, pro rata, based on a 37.5 hour full time post depending on skills and experience.  

Contract length: 1 year fixed term

Closing date: Friday 24th September 2021 by 5pm

We are looking for two Peer Support Workers to join our team.

To work with the peer support team to offer 1-1 peer support, facilitate peer support groups and peer learning sets to anyone accessing HMN services, embedding a personalised and client focused approach to all aspects of the role and responsibilities. This approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery than someone who has walked the same path as that person and can share experience.
