Responsible to: Peer Support Co-ordinator

Responsible for:  Working with the team to offer 1-1 peer support to anyone accessing HMN. The Peer Support service provide tailored support for individuals to support their needs. This includes using different tools and techniques to help an individual improve areas of their life they may be struggling with. This approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery, than someone who has walked the same path as that person and can share experience. Peer Support Workers will also provide support within our Peer Support Groups and Peer Support Learning Sets.

Based: To work within East, North and West Hertfordshire, depending on client need and waiting lists

Working hours: Flexible Hours

Rate of pay: £19,080 – £20,085 pa, pro rata, based on a 37.5 hour full time post depending on skills and experience. This will be reviewed on successful completion of our 6 month probationary period
