We welcome both positive and negative feedback about our services and Wellbeing Centres because it helps us to continue doing what we’re doing well, and make changes where we could do better.
 
We try to respond to all our feedback and whilst it’s not always possible to make alterations or do things different, we do take all suggestions very seriously and have introduced changes as a result of what you have told us!
 
Here are some examples of where you have told us something and we have listened:

You said:

The courtyard at our Ware Wellbeing Centre could be more welcoming for use in the summer.

We did:

In July 2025, our corporate partners Balfour Beatty and ISC Contracting gave the courtyard a full makeover. They laid a new patio, created new flower beds, painted the walls, and donated new furniture and plant pots, creating a bright, inviting outdoor space.

 

 

 

You said:

You would like a confidential one-to-one space in the courtyard garden at our Watford Wellbeing Centre.

We did:

In November 2025, we installed a garden pod overlooking the courtyard. It now provides a calm, private space for counselling and one-to-one appointments, with a connection to the outdoors.

 

 

You said:

Growing People needed an additional polytunnel for the project.

We did:

In November 2025, corporate volunteers from HSBC encouraged us to apply to their grants programme. We were awarded £9,038 to fund a new polytunnel, which will be installed in 2026 and ready for use in spring 2026.

 

 

You said:

You wanted more variety and activities in Meeting Place groups.

We did:

Introduced structured itineraries with a wider range of activities, including external speakers, games, arts and crafts, and quizzes.

 

You said:

Joining online groups felt complicated and off-putting.

We did:

Simplified our paperwork by merging and adapting parts of the Confidentiality Consent Form into a clearer Group Referral Form, leading to increased attendance across our online Meeting Place groups.

2024

 

You said:

The kitchen at our Watford Wellbeing Centre needed updating.

We did:

In May 2024, Wickes and Building Heroes kindly donated their time and materials to transform the space. Cupboards were repaired and replaced, and new worktops, a sink and tiles were installed, creating a more welcoming kitchen for clients and staff.

It wasn’t always easy to find the right services on our website.

We did:

We worked closely with our website provider to create a new services section with a built-in search function, making it quicker and easier to find the support you need.
