Jess Lievesley

Jess is a registered Mental Health Nurse, graduating in 1996, and has worked in mental health services – including as a commissioner – ever since.

As a lifelong carer for a close family member with severe mental illness, he brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. He is deeply committed to co-production and to improving outcomes for people using services, as well as their families.

Alongside his role as Chair of our Board of Trustees, Jess is currently Chief Operating Officer of the North London NHS Foundation Trust.

Anthony Earnshaw

Anthony has been working in finance for over 20 years and has qualified as an actuary and works for Schroder Investment Management.  He specialises in design and management of fixed income solutions for client’s investment problems.  He holds a master’s degree in mathematics from Bristol. He has a keen interest in toys, cars and sports.

Tracey Carter

Tracey has been a nurse in the NHS for 35 years and has worked as an executive chief nurse for the last 9 years. Safeguarding, vulnerability and engagement to improve health inequalities are areas of great interest to support the communities of Hertfordshire.

She currently works as the executive chief nurse at King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust.

Will Lewis

Helena Marks-Dwyer

Helena has an extensive background in the public sector including housing and education. Helena is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Advisor with significant experience of working with families and young people.

She is skilled at building positive relationships, enabling inclusion, participation and empowerment, influencing, peer mentoring and modelling effective communication in addition to extensive experience in disagreement resolution and mediation.

She has strategic operational leadership and service development skills.

Helena is currently a freelance advisor and trainer, disability consultant and project lead supporting learners looking to return to work or training. Additionally Helena is involved in programmes supporting health and wellbeing through nature and horticulture. She is a keen gardener, enjoys craft activities and travelling in addition to singing and spending time with the family. Other interests include Qigong, Mindfulness and Indian Head Massage. B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology; Masters in Early Education.

Helen Oliver

Helen began her career in public sector marketing, leading the marketing and recruitment team at Kent County Council’s KEY Training Services. Here she discovered a passion for supporting young apprentices and began training in motivational coaching.

This led to a move into teaching English, where she also worked on emotional and social learning with Yale interns and supported young people using coaching techniques.

After starting a family, Helen co-founded The Techie Whisperer, a training and facilitation company, and was elected as a local Councillor in 2018, serving as deputy portfolio holder for enterprise until 2021.

That year, she helped launch a Coaching service at The Sadie Centre (now part of Herts Mind Network), working with NHS clients post-pandemic.

Helen now focuses on The Techie Whisperer, delivering emotionally intelligent training and coaching for clients across public, private and charitable sectors.

Post-merger, Helen has joined the Herts Mind Network Board of Trustees, to support her local community and help ensure everyone in Hertfordshire feels supported with their mental health.

Sharn Elton

Sharn has recently retired from the NHS after 38 years. Sharn originally trained as a nurse and worked in clinical roles for 13 years before moving into operational management at East and North Hertfordshire Trust.

Following 25 years of working in acute hospitals Sharn moved into the world of clinical commissioning in East and North Hertfordshire and latterly the Hertfordshire and west Essex Integrated Care Board.

Sharn has been fortunate to work closely with voluntary sector partners for a number of years and has been inspired by the crucial role that the voluntary sector provides within local communities. In particular Sharn is passionate about supporting those in greatest need and is proud to be a Trustee for Hertfordshire Mind Network.
