The Great Big Walk for Herts – Saturday 24th September

On Saturday 24th September we will be taking part in The Great Big Walk for Herts along with 12 other charities.  With each charity walking a different leg of the Hertfordshire Way we will complete the circuit (180 miles) in one day and raise vital funds for fantastic local charities that support children and young people across Hertfordshire.

Every year, we provide support to around 2,500 children and young people across the county and the money raised through this walk will allow us to reach more young people that are needing our support.

I now have the ability to recognise and acknowledge when I’m in need of a break and when to speak up if something is no longer serving me. I can put my mental health first.

Join our walk

We are looking for enthusiastic walkers to come and join us – could that be you?!

Our leg starts at 10am from the village of Widford (near Ware) and finishes in Bishops Stortford – a total of 10.3 miles.  Whilst much of the walk is rural it is never boring, walking through picturesque villages including Much Hadham with its many listed buildings, alongside the River Ash and through the 60 acre estate of the Henry Moore Foundation at Perry Green, home to the world’s largest collection of his bronze sculptures.  We will also be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide from the Hertfordshire Way who will be able to tell us about some of the local history of the area as we walk.

For further information about joining the walk or to register your interest please e-mail [email protected] or give us a call on 02037 273600.

Fundraise

We are asking everyone that takes part to share our fundraising page with their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.  Together we can raise a fantastic amount and make a difference!

Sponsor Us

We appreciate walking is not for everyone so if you would like to show your support then please visit our fundraising page

Every penny donated will come directly to Hertfordshire Mind Network and will make a huge difference to the lives of children and young people across the county!
