Mental Health Art Exhibition in Parliament

National Mind are hosting an exhibition in the Houses of Parliament from 10th to 13th March. The goal is to highlight real-life stories through art and creativity as part of their campaign to influence the Mental Health Bill currently being debated. It could bring significant change – and personal stories can make a powerful difference.

How You Can Contribute:

Submissions can be in any format:
🎨 Art, painting, collage, or drawing
🧵 Sewing or tapestry
📸 Photography
✍️ Poetry or comic strips
🎙️ Spoken word or voice recordings

Themes to explore:

  • “Choice and Voice” (advocacy and being heard while detained)
  • “Life on a CTO” (Community Treatment Orders and their impact)
  • “Racial Disparities and the Mental Health Act”
  • “Young People and the Mental Health Act”

How to Get Involved:

If you, a group, or someone you know has been affected by the Mental Health Act, this is your chance to share your story and make a difference. Please email [email protected] ASAP so we can submit your work to National Mind by their 4th February deadline.

  • Only original artwork (if selected) can be posted, with costs reimbursed.
  • High-quality digital images for printing are preferred.
