Support Assistants (East Herts and Broxbourne districts)

Are you over 18 and able to work a few hours a week on a self-employed basis to provide one-to-one support to people with enduring mental health needs in their homes and local community?

£10 p/h for first hour, £8.50 p/h for subsequent hours…

We are looking for people who…

  • Have a good understanding of mental health issues
  • Are excellent listeners that can empathise with others
  • Are flexible, reliable and well organised
  • Can travel within the local community
  • Can offer befriending, housework, and support to access local activities and services

  • On-going support and guidance on self-employment
  • Management and coordination of contracts and payments
  • Valuable work experience in a modern mental health setting
